A collaborative event took place on June 26th, 2023, at Shree Saraswoti Ma Vhi School in Durgabhagwati Rural Municipality, aiming to support education. Organized by LIKE Lab and supported by the Global Partnership for Education Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (GPE KIX), International Development Research Centre (IDRC), and Kathmandu University School of Arts (KUSOA), the event focused on enhancing academic planning and improving student attendance.
During the event, calendars featuring important academic dates and days were distributed to participating schools, enabling effective management of academic schedules. This included dates for data entry, exams, holidays, and more, ensuring a smoother learning experience throughout the year. The presence of Education officer and head teachers from Durgabhagwati Rural Municipality underscored the significance of the event, reflecting their dedication to education. Expressing gratitude to LIKE Lab and its partners, the Education Officer emphasized the effectiveness of the academic calendar. They assured that the calendar would be widely utilized in all schools within the municipality, showcasing their commitment to innovation and support for educational institutions.
Additionally, the officer shared about the distribution of posters on GESI and pamphlets highlighting children’s capabilities. These resources covered various topics including health, meditation, autonomy, education, and leisure activities. The officer urged principals to support this initiative and engage students in activities related to the capabilities.
Moving forward, public school representatives remain committed to empowering students and teachers by providing essential resources for success. The distribution of the academic calendar marks a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to enhance academic planning and foster overall student growth in public schools.
