Leadership Team
Dr. Binayak Krishna Thapa
Assistant Professor of Development at Kathmandu University’s School of Arts (KUSOA) and
the Project Leader of “Effectiveness and Scalability of Programs for Children Who Are Out of
School and at Risk of Dropping Out in Bangladesh Bhutan Nepal.” He served as a Postdoctoral
Researcher at the School of Education of Kathmandu University. He earned his Ph.D. and
Masters in Development Studies from the Department of Development Studies at Kathmandu
University. He has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Pune,
India. His areas of academic interest are the capability approach, education for development,
migration studies, poverty measurement, governance, and citizenship studies.
Coordination
Ms. Anushka Shrestha
Anushka holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of North
Carolina-Greensboro, USA, and an MBA from the South Asian Institute of Management at
Pokhara University. Currently, she serves as the Project Coordinator at LIKE Lab, situated within
the Kathmandu University School of Arts.
Research Team
Ms. Isha Karki
Isha completed her Bachelor degree in Community Development (BCD) from Kathmandu
University School of Arts located in Hattiban, Lalitpur. Currently, she is working as Research
Fellow in Like Lab Kathmandu University School of Arts.
