The Development Studies Workshop is targeted for students enrolled in different programs of the Department of Development Studies. The workshop intends to serve as an engaging platform for aspiring researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss innovative approaches to promoting gender equality and social inclusion in education.
The workshop series is organized under the research initiative “Promoting Gender Equality and Social Inclusion in Schools, Building on What Children Value and Aspire to Do and Be”, and supported by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the Global Partnership for Education Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (GPE-KIX).
The workshop series will feature presentations on ongoing and cutting-edge research findings, interactive discussions on scaling science, monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), data analysis using tools such as Stata, and participatory action research (PAR) through evidence-based practices, and opportunities for cross-sectoral collaboration and professional networking.
It aims to promote knowledge sharing and capacity strengthening among participants, contributing to transformative change in the education sector and supporting participants’ professional growth, equipping them with the necessary skills to excel in the development workforce.
